Testimonials
Maggie Smith’s work with our daughter was a game changer. Maggie saw in Eva what was possible, showing tremendous patience, creativity, and compassion to provide Eva optimal experiences in life. Her work utilizing music and art took what seemed a simple one-time project into a weekly exploration of growth, expanding Eva’s abilities. Eva’s diagnosis and prognosis indicated no promise of independence, let alone the use of her hands and arms. Through Maggie’s brilliant work with Eva, she was able to blossom as an artist, expressing herself in ways that had been previously locked inside. Further, with Eva’s evolution in utilizing art, she gained a stronger ability to hone her fine motor skills in a way that was leading her on a trajectory of being able to independently drive her power chair. Tragedy struck and Eva’s beautiful life was cut short, but I have no doubt that Eva’s independence was ahead of her and her ability to express herself as an artist was destined to blossom into greatness; all in large part due to the work of Maggie Smith.
Sean Ferrell, father, documentarian, “Superability”
Maggie mentored Eva Ferrell’s painting process for four years. See the following short film Eva’s Art Show, and her grand opening in 2017 in Bend, Oregon.
I would recommend this Tomatis based method (the Alpha Effect) to anyone wanting to break out of whatever cognitive mold or limitations they may find themselves in. Maggie was a wonderful guide. Her patience and creativity were so helpful and inspiring, and truly helped me to open up to new horizons and possibilities.
